How to fix my blackberry curve 8520?

well, my phone crashed earlier so i took the battery out, it was doing the usual re-booting screen with the white bar across the bottom, it gets just over half way then it crashes and doesn't go any further, i've tried taking the battery out but it just happens again. HELP!
