My computer screen goes black when i play a high graphics game.?

I can only play old games that have 90's, When i play newer games with higher graphics, i play 5 minutes into it and my screen freezes, i still hear sound for about 10 seconds then it goes "rrrrrrrrr" and i have to manually Re-boot my computer. Can anyone help?
