I have a toshiba lap top p305 d58836 and it won't boot up!?

It was working fine yesterday, I was using it and was done so I closed the lid. Before I went to bed I wanted to check my email so I opened the lid and it would not come out of sleep mode (the power button was on but the screen remained blank and no hard drive activity). I pushed the power button off and on again to try and wake it but nothing. I removed the power cord and the battery and tried re booting again. The power light would come on and the cd drive would spin but no hard drive activity and the screen would remain blank. I tried my recovery disk in the cd drive and re booted but screen remained blank, the cd drive would spin for about 30 seconds and hard drive would remain silent. I did some research on the internet but all the tips I found would not work. I took out my ram and hard drive and re seated them both but nothing happens. I also tried to reset my cmos battery but gave up because I did not want to take the lap top apart too much and possibly mess anything up more since I really don't know what I'm doing. Please help!!
