Why is my Yahoo soooooo slow? And will freeze while in yahoo mail constantly.?

When i click on the internet a blank screen will appear, i have to minimize the blank screen and click on the internet again in order to get my home page. If i choose not to minimize the blank screen and close it out and click on the internet again it will not work, i will continue to get a blank screen. This happens every time i go on the internet. Also, while in Yahoo mail it will constantly freeze and i have to continuously re-boot and go through the whole process again.
