Why would programs and memory folders be listed in my browser bar history?

My computer froze and I re-booted. When the screen cleared, I accessed my browser bar to go to another website. But, I saw all my programs and my memory folders listed there, too. Why did this happen....and what would happen if I deleted my browser bar history??
