My computer won't stay on normal mode of windows?

The only reason my computer wasn't working, was becase i didn't have a new battery, so i finally got a new battery and i'm able to get on normal mode, but when something goes wrong. I can't get on normal mode. Even though i re boot it and wait like a half hour with the welcome screen.
